Happy Friday everyone,
I remember when I was just about to graduate from my bachelors degree, I didn’t have a dollar to my name, I was on my way home from work around the time of my final exams when my car broke down. At the time I really didn’t have money to fix it, I was so upset because I loved that car. It was the first thing in my life that I had really worked hard for and saved to purchase.
After I graduated from my bachelors I had to choose between fixing the car or paying my fees to become registered as a dental prosthetist. I was lucky that at the time I was working for a really nice guy that drove me to work and back every time I had a shift. I was surrounded by people that could have helped me at that time but I chose to tough it out and wanted to do it all on my own. Also, I was too shy to ask for someone to help me. In the end I sold the car for scrap (which broke my heart), and borrowed some money off of a friend to pay for my registration.
It wasn’t long after that I got really serious about digital marketing and took it from a hobby to a genuine source of income. Which is funny to think about because if it hadn’t worked out that way I wouldn’t have worked so hard to be where I am today and i am very happy with my current job and situation.
When I look back on that time, things aren’t too different to how things are now. I realise that we all have tough times and I now realise that If I just asked for help then that tough time didn’t need to be so hard. No one wants to admit that they need help but it’s not a bad thing to get a hand from a mate.
Getting help doesn’t make you weak.
I thought it did.
Getting help actually makes you strong.
Don’t be afraid to ask for some help.
Big thanks to all the people that have given me support
Happy Friday again every one.
